The mission of Northbound Leadership is to transform young adults into authentic leaders who improve the world, and who embody integrity, passion, beneficence, and self-awareness. Northbound Leadership was founded on the conception that effective leaders are first and foremost leaders of themselves.
The fundamental innovation of Northbound Leadership is the integration three different training modalities: Personal Development, Leadership Training, and Service to the Community toward creating introspective, experienced leaders prepared to make a positive impact on their communities.
Northbound Leadership’s personal development training curriculum was developed from and inspired by the work of various psychologists and experts in the field of personal development including but not limited to the works of Kenneth Blanchard, Victor Frankl, Malcolm Gladwell, & Simon Sinek. Additionally, the personal development curriculum incorporates principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy.
Northbound’s leadership training curriculum was developed from and inspired by the work of various psychologists and experts in the field of leadership training including by not limited to the works of James Kouzes, Kenneth Blanchard, Simon Sinek, Edward Deci, and Richard Ryan.
The community service curriculum was inspired from practical guidance offered by the Boy Scouts of America, other youth service organizations, and from anecdotal experiences from the Board of Directors.
Through Northbound Leadership’s three pillars of personal development, leadership development, and community service, we aim to create a society that practices cohesiveness between personal values, and interactions with society, fueled by personal life meaning, and guided by integrity and discipline.
